Z-Scape - Z- Play

In every project, Zaha Hadid’s approach is to challenge pre-conceived notions of space, furniture and architecture – this scrutiny applies equally to past designs. To develop the Z-Play ensemble of flexible seating elements, advances in technology and manufacturing were exploited in an evolution of the previous Z-Scape collection. Designed for play, the pieces can be pulled apart, turned upside down or lined up to create interior landscapes, placed back-to-back as armchairs or reconnected to form solid blocks that conceal canyon-like surfaces within.
